PLOT

Prince Darren is celebrating coming of age, but before he can take ownership of the Squirmany Kingdom which is being ran temporally by Lord Sheen since his late parents passed, he must find a Princess to marry. Naively, Prince Darren believes putting posters up throughout the world will attract available Princesses to his Palace. Margaret Joan, the silent maid of the Palace takes a poster home to her daughter Hatty. Hatty dreams of one day becoming a Princess but realises realistically, she cannot do so. She heads into the woods hunting for Berries when she stumbles across an old well where Rumpelstiltskin can make anyone's dreams become a reality. She wishes she could be a real Princess but in exchange for one of his magical contracts. She makes the deal. 

The story is narrated by Rumpel's previous victims, locked away underground working until their final days. Gina the Cleaner, Badges and Rickay the rat bring exciting entertainment thoughout the palace. Lord Sheen is keen, yet reluctant to sign the Kingdom over to Darren so soon. Later, Harriet realises she requires the assistance of Rumpelstiltskin once again but this time, she must make one of the worst sacrifices she can make - her first born child. Will Gina, Badges and the other Palace workers be able to stop Rumpelstiltskin? This enchanted fairytale becomes strange and twisted as time continues and a baby is born. This fun, modern and exciting Pantomime will be first performed in late 2024 with Sparks Dramatic Society at Hyde Festival Theatre.
