Steven first got involved in Amateur Dramatics in 2014 as a theatre technician. In 2017, he joined the committee of Hyde Festival Theatre, Cheshire before becoming volunteer Theatre Secretary in 2019.
During his secretaryship, he founded a Theatre Volunteer Programme and a Youth Council within his first three years.
In 2021, following the COVID closure of the theatre, he wrote his first script, The Cooper Family, which is a murder mystery play that he wrote for the theatre to raise much needed funds. Since then, he is continuing to write scripts for Amateur groups, organisations and theatres.
Steven's scripts have amateur theatre at its heart, with optimistic, yet realistic visions for directors and production teams.

Most of the licensable shows have already been in production. This means you may be able to purchase an additional, optional showkit to make your production easier for yourselves. This may include a poster template, audition pack template, sound recordings already edited and ready for rehearsals and performances and in some instances a film recording of a previous production meaning you can really see a previous director's vision for the script.
If you have a concept, theme or idea but you're now lacking a script. Get in touch. Steven is able to write your script tailored to your specific requirements and needs to suit your production and/or venue.
Having your script written will take a considerable number of weeks, so please allow extra time for this.
Initially, following your request, Steven can make a site visit to conduct a consultation with you/representatives from your group or society to begin specific discussions, taking into account your capability, technical limitations and cast size.
